I recently heard Daryll Hammond, formerly of SNL, tell his colonoscopy story in the context of being recognized in awkward situations. He prefaced the story avoiding the term entirely, calling it a “procedure that involves a camera where a camera should never go.”
For historical purposes and back-story detail, Wendy’s Number 3 combo (the triple cheeseburger alluded to above) was my go-to choice when I was having a really, really, crappy day. Talk about irony.
