If you have been reading my comic lately, I have been going on and on about my love for America.
We have seen an extreme case of what I think is wrong about America. It is too easy to get guns, and this Colorado tribute came to me in a flash as man-who-was-once a kid weaned on Batman.
Far be it from me to deny sportsmen access to hunting rifles, but there is no reason access to automatic weapons should be so cavalierly granted. Yes, I prefer to think of the victims and no – a proper vetting of this suspect would likely not have raised any red flags.
It breaks my heart that the bastion of enjoyment – a night at the movies seeing a long-awaited fan favorite at a midnight showing is now tarnished; if not forever, then certainly for some time to come.
I will do what I can to remember the victims here in my blog. I did something for the Ft. Hood victims and will sleep on what I can do in kind.
