Wouldn’t You Fly The Coop?
I really could not blame Big Bird if he/she was tempted to fly the coop around election day. Heck, I’m tempted lately to do the same thing.
You should know that a brief search on “Big Bird Cartoon” returned a bunch of search engine result pages (SERPS) containing fresh cartoons on the subject in the political cartoons arena.
This was not my intent.
I had the punch line first – jotted down in Evernote which is how I document comic ideas for later recall. I have been struck lately, particularly in summer time, how the first beer chilled just right quickly vanishes. Hence, I had “disappear faster than the first beer” written with no setup.

If you are reading this from the future, I’ll add this is a reference to the first Presidential debate in 2012 where the Republican nominee declared he would cut PBS funding, even though he “likes Big Bird”.
