Faith Hill is on my mind because as I slave away over this hot stove, uh, tablet, cooking this strip for your diversion I have my office TV playing the CMA Country Christmas special in the background.
Good for them for not caving into that “Holiday” nonsense and calling it a Christmas special. Best surprise was Brian Setzer’s playing and tone. So many guitarists think they can do it, but that sound and feel coming from him is the real deal. Often imitated, never duplicated.
