The same day that I teased an an aging musician friend on Facebook about playing a venue so often they should name a sandwich for him, a former boss wondered out loud in his status update why there was never a sandwich named for him.
You can’t have a topic come at you from both sides and run out of ideas for the occasional meditative strips you get here. Not a gag-a-day, but hopefully something you can’t see elsewhere.
Speaking of unique content, friends of the strip the Alvarez Brothers (makers of The Obscure Gentlemen) have launched a podcast and I gave the premiere episode a listen last night as I was doing this strip. I like it, it is definitely not safe for little ones and I wish them the best of luck sustaining their energy. I can tell you first-hand, starting a podcast is the easy part – I think they’ll have a good go of it since they can play off each other and are genuinely witty and in-touch with pop culture.
