While we never take full separate vacations per se, it is quite healthly to pursue some interests in teams. This should not be misconstrued as anything less than being “happily married”; the media is starting to cover people who are married that live, vacation – even retire -separately. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
On another note, I know summer is historically a light time for webcomic traffic for this site, but jeez louise! I can’t stop the nagging feeling that I’m doing something wrong with this strip because – while I am grateful for every single reader and Facebook “Like” that it receives – I have to admit it isn’t catching fire as I would like.
I can’t do this in a poll, or haven’t thought about it long enough to craft the multiple choice format a poll requires. so I’ll ask free-form:
What am I doing wrong with this comic? What is your one single desert-island webcomic that you cannot miss (not counting your own!)? Does innapropriate language offend you? Mature content? Politics? Is the art style poor/inconsistent? Is the writing weak? Do I need to start tabling at cons? Do I need to blog more? Do I need to divulge more about me personally, as some creators do? Use the comments and if you like the comic overall, please support it using social media.
I do what I can to help promote the comics I read. Some are dying on the vine, but I keep my Links page updated. I feel a compulsion to RT or FB Like or Comment On things that I like to help support the community and help my peers gain readers. Please help spread the word.
