This was really starting to bug me. I guess the auto-filled “http://” is meant as a hint.
To all of you who didn’t have a problem with this part of the Facebook interface, I tip my hat. It was starting to get on my nerves for no reason whatsoever. All modern day apps ought to automatically create a hypertext link when you type, say “www.dempseystudio.com” and prepend the hypertext transport protocol for us.
Turns out Facebook does. My bad.
